Good morning, Sunshine

So this is a thing I bought:

Xbox 360

It’s Monday now, and I had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend. Black Friday is more my style than the actual feast day, but special days aside, it was probably the best break I’ve had in a while. I got up early almost every day, but I also got to relax more than I have since before the semester started. I spent almost all my time playing Assassin’s Creed II on my laptop, and it was brilliant. For once, I didn’t feel like I was wasting my time or like I should have been doing other things.

I really want to try to become a morning person. I feel so much more productive when I get up early and get a lot of stuff done in the morning than when I stay up late and get the same things done at night. Last night, I went to bed at 10 with the intention of waking up at 6 this morning to go to the gym and study before my class at 11. I ended up sleeping until 8:30, oops.

Clearly this is going to take a lot of work.

Bye bye relaxation! There are things I have to do tonight after work (I work till 6):

  • Go to the gym (done!)
  • Study for my 29 Nov. Japanese test (done!)
  • Practice for my 29 Nov. voice lesson (just going to practice before my lesson)

With any luck (aka discipline), that list will be in order. If I want to start going to bed earlier, I need to get in the habit of doing my homework before other things! Especially when I have so many other things I want to do… I really need to play guitar more. =/

  1. Oi, I know the feeling. I hate waking up early especially since I have a sleeping problem. Needless to say, it didn’t really work out too well =]

I had to leave my ps3 at home because I knew if I brought it with me I would never get any work done! Too bad I figured out that steam is now on mac!!! I’ve been stuck playing Torchlight and Skyrim for the longest time now =\

    1. My friend Deepa had to do the same thing with her PS3! I’m usually pretty good about knowing when I have to stop or when I can’t play, so I think I’ll be okay having the Xbox here. 🙂

My brother told me about Steam and I looked into it, but I thought Skyrim through Steam was only available for Windows right now?

  2. Oh no! Rachel got a XBox! I hope that you enjoy it, especially if you got the Kinect along with it.

Good luck waking up early! I hope that being a college student doesn’t get in the way of that too much. I generally go to sleep at 4am and wake up at noon, but I am more screwed up than the average student in this country, I hear.

  3. Ahhhh Xbox! I was going on get one on Black Friday but one look at the prices of Xbox games? No thank you, I’ll stick with the Wii. The Kinect is utterly awesome though so it’s too bad I’m missing out.

Waking up early isn’t so hard for me actually. I know university students tend to be lazy because they can wake up in the afternoon or something, but I’ve always had class at 9:30AM and now I have to wake up two hours earlier because I commute. I don’t go to bed early either.

But if you really want to do this, I suggest putting 4 alarms if you sleep through them. 😛

  4. Come on dude one more! /bounce

Also, well done on the XBOX. 😀 I don’t know why I’ve never been interested in them; we have so many game consoles and most of the games we want are available on PC or PS2. 😉 Of course, now there’s the PS3…

I definitely want to start sleeping earlier. I already have, with 11:30pm as my limit, really, but with my insomnia thanks to my pills, it’s becoming difficult to get enough sleep. So I’m going to try sleeping earlier so I can maintain waking up at 6-7am. 🙂

  5. Awesome. I love the Xbox. I plan on getting one with more GB because I heard that the kinect takes up 2GB alone so if I want to ever get the kinect I need more space than just 4 GB. 🙂

Also, I’m glad you were able to complete your goals. I hope I am able to complete mine. 😀

Good luck on becoming a morning person. I’ll never try to become one. XD

Nah, I was thinking about replacing the blog on IBE but then I thought that I really like to be able to, finally, blog my goals for each month and keep track of them, so that is what I’m going to do on DTE. Mushie is just a random blog where I will just post the most random stuff, lol. & IBE will stay the way it is. 🙂

Thanks. I plan on reopening it on or before the 16th. 🙂 That is my last, official, day of school so I figured that would be a good day to open it. 🙂 Really, I only have 3 more days of school because I pretty much finished everything that is due after Monday, besides math. I still have an assignment and a quiz to finish with math. I may just start that now. 🙂
