About Me

My name is Rachel, and I, as you may have guessed, am the owner of this little website. I was born on 21 January 1993, and that makes me nineteen years old.

I am Caucasian: Russian, German, Polish, and some others all mixed into one. My hair is naturally dark blond, but I don’t generally keep it that color. I have brown eyes and am about 5 feet, 7 inches tall.

I live in the United States, and I’m in my second year at university where I plan to major in communication studies. I am also taking voice lessons outside of school, as my dream is to start a band. I have to try very hard not to get caught up thinking about the future and to enjoy each day as it comes, even though I’m doing so many things for my future at this time in my life.

Music is a huge part of my life. My all-time favorite band is Avenged Sevenfold, and others include Hollywood Undead, Sick Puppies, My Chemical Romance, and REO Speedwagon. I have been lucky enough to meet many artists whom I look up to or whose music I simply enjoy. The moment that stands out the most to me is when I met M. Shadows, the lead singer of Avenged Sevenfold (bottom), and Johnny Christ, their bassist (top), on 6 February 2011 at about 3:15am. Thank you, boys!

I’m not a big movie person, but some of my favorites are Jacob’s Ladder, Top Gun, and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. My favorite TV shows are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Doctor Who (the 2005 series; I haven’t had a chance to watch anything from earlier), and Friends. If you’re looking for books, my favorite works of fiction are probably Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Song of the Sparrow, and The Book Thief. I also really really enjoy reading biographies and memoirs. They’re just (usually) so inspiring!
